Layreaders, Lectors, and Chalice Bearers
Layreaders and lectors are trained to take part in the service by reading the New and Old Testament lessons and also to lead in the Intercessions. They may serve as chalice bearers during the Eucharist. Any member of the church is eligible. Training and licensing meetings are provided annually.
