Any baptized adult who attends St. Mark's Church is eligible for membership to the Altar Guild.
The Altar Guild creates continuity in all church services under the direction of the priest. They are responsible for keeping the sanctuary and sacristy clean. Other responsibilities include the laundering of all linens, polishing of brass/silver and delivering flowers to the sick and shut-in. We also usher and collect offerings at some of the services if we are asked to do so.
Altar Guild members have also helped to decorate the sanctuary with fresh flowers for Easter and Christmas. They have also enjoyed a Christmas luncheon with all members and priests with their spouses.
Meetings for the Altar Guild take place on the 3rd Saturday of every other month at 10 a.m. For more information please contact Winnie Jackson at the church office.
